This little box replaces an i7 2600K system I had been using as a file server / PLEX server. Nearly the same computing power with only 6w TDP (instead of 95w + GPU/etc). As a basic PC for web browsing and watching videos, this mini PC is perfectly fine. I grabbed a 16GB/1TB unit for under 200. The drive is just a cheap nvme; it reads/writes in the 600-800 mb/sec range which is plenty fast for a little file server/browser. I wouldn’t expect much on video power but drives my 3440×1440 display at 85hz, which isn’t bad.

*Turning off? If the unit keeps going to sleep/hibernating (even with sleep set to “off”), you may need to search for the “Control Panel” and find the idle PC hibernation settings within that are not accessible in the standard Windows 11 Settings app. Mine was set (by default) to hibernate at 180 minutes of idle time.

We also have a 5800h / 32GB mini PC. A huge step up from this unit but it’s also a 45w TDP as opposed to 6w. If all you need is a web browser for the office/ for Mom/ an HTPC or a file server, this low power n100 unit might be all you need.

The CPU temperature was approching 70 degrees Celcius. I took the fan/heat sink assemply appart and found a tiny amount of heat sink compond. Stupid manufacturing flaw. Cleaned and reapplied a health amount of HS compond. The CPU temperature is now 40 degrees Cecius with room temperatures of 21 C.

The computer is excellent. I have this on my yacht and it draws only 3 watts. I’m on inverter power some times. Very fast processig time.

Like the Intel N150 processor and the double M.2 hard drive slots, lots of RAM for me, Wi Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and Winows 11 Pro preinstalled. I also have the Beelink S12 mini Pro which has the Intel N100 processor with a M.2 hard drive and an extra slot for a 2.5 in. SSD drive. So far this mini S-13 is great and better than the mini S-12 but not by much. I had some issues with Windows 11 setup but that has been resolved with Windows updates. Had the S-12 for over a year and runs great. I expect this M-13 to do the same. Paid 150.00 for the S-12 and this S-13 I got for 170.00. Great deals and value. Windows 11 works great , so take the leap and get past Windows 10 as it will soon be obsolete.

I bought this in October as a test, and finally set it up last week. Windows ran fine, but I could never get it to update Windows because of the temperature issues.

Simple Windows Update drove the CPU temperatures up to 105 degrees Celsius, and the unit would shut itself down to protect against thermal damage. Removing the bottom of the device and leaving it open helped, but temperatures were still up between 90C and 95C, and the CPUs were capped at 25% capacity. So opening a browser window might take 20 seconds.

Eventually the unit stopped booting, and I’m glad because I don’t need to invest any more time into getting this working. It goes into the trash as I’m likely out of the warranty period, and there’s no real data on the device anyway.

I’d say this is a hard AVOID.

My old plex server died and I needed a replacement. The beelink showed up and had zero issues setting up windows, even connected to a network. I installed Avast antivirus and threw Plex server on there. In about an hour I was streaming test content via plex.

This little guy has zero issues with 480p DVD quality streaming. I also tested up to 1080p and that was fine (although sometimes a noticeable few seconds, <5, to buffer). Most of my collection is ripped DVDs so that's fine.

It totally choked on a 4K stream attempt. Don’t buy this if you want to stream 4K.

A single 480 plex stream uses about 25% of the CPU. I usually stream to a single TV so that’s perfect. It should work ok for ~3 streams but I haven’t maxed it out yet.

All my data is going in an external drive caddy that connects via USB.

I have not yet configured it to also work as a file server using windows 11 but see no major roadblocks. Its a standard windows 11 install.

For my use case this little device was cheap, easy to setup and seems to work perfectly. We’ll see how it holds up in the long run.

    Pros:
    Good price
    Fast processor for a mini
Good amount of RAM and storage
Quiet (Though not as quiet as my last mini)
    Dual monitor ability
See ALL my hard drives, SCSI and SSD
    4 USB 3.2 ports

    Cons:
No USB C (I know none of the minis have them, but some it time to get at least one)
Uses a wall wart for power
No Micro SD card slot (Ouch)

All in all, Im quite pleased with this little PC. (even a bit impressed) I would recommend it to friends and enemies alike.

I got it to handle many webcams with OBS for Twitch/Youtube.
It is replacing a Raspberry Pi.

More powerful than I thought it would be.
    – Handles 2x 1440p monitors well
    – Handles many OBS webcams well.
—- Due to bandwidth limits, you’ll have trouble plugging many cameras into one USB -> Hub – Cameras chain.
—- you’ll probably need a USB Hub per USB Port
    – Startup is faster than me
    – Browsing is snappy
    – Discord works well
    – I managed to run Docker Desktop on it.
    – I managed to do node development with VSCode.

All of these things are complete garbage on a Raspberry Pi, despite the Raspberry Pi’s claims otherwise.
The cost compares reasonably to a Raspberry Pi kit. Despite this, you get more in every respect.
    – “Real” processor
    – “Real” USB
    – Standard HDMI
    – Can *actually* handle the monitor sizes it says it can
    – Plenty of fast storage space
    – Runs Windows if you want
    – Doesn’t give you a swirly if you look at it wrong
The enclosure is not even much larger than a Raspberry Pi’s enclosure.

It can’t run Rocket League, but I wasn’t really expecting it to.
