Although this is labeled as a rice cooker and works fabulously as such (1.5 cups of rice makes enough for 3), I’ve also used it like a mini crockpot and cooked full meals for two. For example:
– Buy a sushi making kit and together, you have an easy, affordable Family Sushi Night.
– Add pre-cooked chicken to a cup of rice, add onion, garlic, and chicken bouillon to taste, and you have a quick chicken and rice dinner.
– Make a small batch of bone broth by starting in cook mode and letting it stay in warm mode 12-24 hours (overnight to a day). Just make sure to check the water level and scoop off fat/foam as needed.
This gadget is great for anyone who struggles with ADD, someone who is so busy they sometimes forget they need to cook or are cooking, parents who want to teach kids self-sufficiency, college students who want to make healthier food, older or injured individuals with limited mobility, and anyone who just wants good, fresh food without a lot of effort.
It’s so easy to use: there’s only one button and once the food is done, it automatically switches to warm mode. There is no open flame so there’s a lot less chance of disaster.

I was quite surprised on the efficiency for this item. But first, I MUST say, I can’t cook!!!!! Really. But with the instructions, I cooked a PERFECT pot of rice. I makes a fair serving for one-two. It will even keep the rice warm which is a very handy/nice feature. I use it quite often for different rice-types w/o any errors! Clean-up is a breeze as this tiny pot stores almost anywhere. I keep mine in a small clear bag so that all of the parts are always in the same place when I need it. (MY FAULT: I bag the components for this pot because I like it & do not plan to buy another! So the baggies is needed when ricer components are coming out of the dishwasher. This ricer has a very small glass top that’s easy to miss. The black inner container is so unassuming that it can be mistaken for a cup/bowl to be stored where no one will ever find it. The rice measuring cup is even smaller. So keep the parts together! It’s well worth the effort.)

I purchased this Dash rice cooker almost a year ago. It is just my husband and I in the home normally. I wanted a rice cooker, but had no need for a large one. This was on sale, so I gave it a shoot. It came with a measuring cup, rice paddle and instructions. I love it. It cooks rice perfectly, as long as you follow the water to rice ratios. For example, plain white rice is 1 to 1.25 per the lines on the pot, but jasmine is 1 to 1.5 per the measuring cup. I have also used it to make Couscous, Quinoa and Barley. I just follow the ratios on the packages. I also can add oils, spices and vegetables in the pot before I start the cooking process. It will make enough servings for 1-3 people. It has a metal pot and a glass lid that are very easy to clean. They have included recipes in the instruction booklet for everything from flavored grains, to chili’s, soups and cakes. Although I have not tried them yet, I am positive they would come out just as good as the grains. The only problem I have seen is the rice/grains will get a little brown on the bottom if you let it sit on warm for to long. However it has never burned. When I received the pot, it was missing the paddle in the box. I called the company and received great customer support. I had my paddle within a few days.
I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a small cooker for rice, grains and beans.

Rice cooked well however the hob in the rice cooker melted. I don’t think I need to say anything else. I reckon it was a faulty products but I will be returning and getting a different rice cooker

I recently purchased the DASH Mini Rice Cooker Steamer and overall, it works great for small meals. The removable nonstick pot is easy to clean, and the Keep Warm function is really convenient. It heats up quickly and does a great job cooking grains, oatmeal, and even small soups and stews.
Pros:

Cons:
➖ Too Small for Larger Meals – While it’s great for 1-2 servings, it’s too small if you’re cooking for more than that. It only makes about 2 servings, so I find it doesn’t meet my needs when I need to cook for more people.
➖ Limited Features – While it does its job well for smaller portions, it’s not as versatile as larger rice cookers for bigger meals.
Final Thoughts:
This is a perfect mini cooker for individuals or small households, but it might not be the best option if you need to cook for more than two people. It’s great for quick, small meals, and if you’re looking for a compact option, this is a solid choice! Would be perfect for someone living alone or as a secondary cooker for small meals.

This item is not compatible with UK power, Amazon refunded me on return for this item as usual but the seller told me he would refund the postage that isn’t true I keep emailing him through Amazon but now he is now ignoring me.

Love this rice cooker makes enough for two servings each for me and my husband. Recommend a paper towel under it when cooking as water does leak from it. Rice taste great and is well cooked. It is very easy to use and takes about a half hour to make makes about 4 servings.

I eat a lot of rice and this rice cooker helps me regulate my time better preparing Chinese dishes. It makes life so much easier for me in the kitchen. And on top of performance, it’s absolutely adorable and pretty. I bought the pink one. It’s tiny and doesn’t take up much space at all. And the rice comes out perfect.
Update: I use the plastic measuring cup that came with the product. The first time I cooked rice I added 1-1/2 cups of water to 1-cup rice. Today I used 1-3/4 cups water to 1-cup rice. I like the consistency better with 1-1/2 cups water.

Me gustó mucho esta arrocera y es perfecta para una persona, se hace perfectamente 1 taza de arroz. Además es muy fácil de utilizar y tiene la opción de mantener caliente el arroz después de la cocción. La primera vez que la utilicé se sentía un olor a recalentado como cualquier electrodoméstico nuevo, y luego ya no había olor. Es fácil de lavar y utilizar! La recomiendo, a mi me gustó mucho.
