This is a great introductory drone. It charges quickly and easily, comes with two batteries amd is very easy to fly. The built in guards make using this way easier. Im not at concerned with bumping something on accident. It also comes with and extra set of blades, which are very easy to replace. It doesnt soundblike a helicopter on the house, but is not very quiet. Its a good size for beginners and flying ondoors. The light functions are pretty cool. You can tell the direction your going based on the lights over each blade. This is a really fun drone to fly around, with some basic, but essential features. Durability is not an issue, as ive had quite a few accidents. Worst case, i turned the unit off, then back on and it gets right back to it. Great gift idea.

To me, this style of quadcopter represents a pinnacle of fun and real control that unfortunately the industry has since moved away from.
It doesn’t make sense to me to even call this a “drone”. It’s an RC helicopter and the controls are the same as any 4 channel RC helicopter.
It also has 3 speeds, flip stunts, fun lights, one button take off, altitude hold, and headless mode. Aside from headless mode, which attempts to make it unnecessary to know which side is the front of the helicopter, the others are all enhancements. I didn’t evaluate the headless mode.
More recent / modern drones do more to keep the copter level, not drift and probably work better as a flying camera. To me, a flying camera, while useful, is more of a tool than a fun toy. If I were buying a toy for my kid, I would get this instead of the camera.
Of course, there are two things I would change:
1. instead of alkaline batteries, the controller should also use a recharageable lipo battery.
2. If possible to charge the battery with a standard usb-c plug instead of the proprietary connector, that would be great to eliminate the possibility of losing that charge connector.
Aside from that, having a few more spare batteries would have kept kid me (lets say 9-10 or older) occupied for days on end; and I would have developed the transferable ability to fly pretty much any 4 channel copter with some level of skill.

My son is very into drones and the flying objects so when my daughter showed a interest in this one, I definitely wanted to gift it to her and give her the chance to fly it sith her big brother in hopes he could teach her all the techniques and do so without having to let her fly his drones, which if your a mom with kids in close age proximity you understand why this is an immediate conflict, and this ended up working out for them in more than One way. It’s very easy to operate according to her. She loves the different colors of each quad and it having the bat symbol on it made it so much cooler! I’m really glad I got it for her bc now she can have a drone of her own when the boys take theirs out and I don’t have to listen to them fight about sharing it with the other one! Definitely a win! I would buy this again and again just to spare us the argument so the fact that it works so well and is easy to fly makes it that much better! Don’t pass this up!! It’s a good one

I bought 7 of these- one for each child in the family, and it was a huge success! I gave them early to some of the kids and they fly awesome! My 5 year old can use so it’s easy to use, but my 7 year old can’t quite figure it out yet- practice makes perfect. It also came with a cardboard cover with the directions for each button. Very well designed and great value for the money. NOTE: these won’t damage your walls, the spinning things hurt if it hits your finger, and this WILL tangle in a girl’s hair. My son accidentally flew his drone into my head and it got SO tangled in my hair, so watch out- safety and supervision is necessary.
