This is my first Keto Cookbook as well as my maiden exploration into the Keto Diet. Amanda Ray’s explanation of what the Keto diet is about gave me a pretty good understanding of how the foods you eat can either help your body burn fat or hinder its natural fat-burning capabilities. Foods to either embrace or avoid was simple and straight forward. The bulk of the book is what I really wanted though– recipes! of which there are plenty inside. Living in Alaska, I was pleased to see salmon on the menu several times; and I even tried the Creamy Keto Salmon Chowder (eBook pg. 135), using sockeye salmon I caught this summer. It was delicious! Although Amanda provided a halibut recipe (eBook pg. 139), I had my eye on a Keto Grilled swordfish with Garlic Herb Butter (eBook pg. 138), which I plan to substitute the swordfish with halibut I caught this spring. I had a lot of fun going through all the recipes and look forward to trying them all out. I read this eBook on the Kindle Reader app on my iPhone 13, and it was quite readable and easy to access its content from the Table at the beginning. There’s an index of recipes in the back of the book, but the page numbers are for the printed book and do not hyperlink, which was unfortunate. That notwithstanding, if you’re looking for a Keto Cookbook with exceptional recipes, this book by Amanda Ray is an excellent choice– highly recommend.
