this deep fryer is very simplistic and easy to use, the only thing that surprised me with it was when the control panel and the element lifted off from the back to allow the cleaning of the inside of the unit. Certainly isn’t a top-of-the-line product but is good enough for small amounts and works pretty well. overall, it is worth the money and good enough for myself and wife to use.

A must have in my kitchen It preformed amazingly. I am very happy with my purchase no splatter the food is crispy and delicious. And the cleaning and breakdown of this fryer was so convenient.

I used this fryer for my daughter to fry some food once a week. It worked fine with the exception that it started to lose the interior coating at 3 months of use. Not very easy to clean. The knob got very very loose in about 3 months. At the 6 month mark, the device stopped working, did not warm the oil anymore. I contacted Ovente customer service and it took 2 weeks for them to reply, they requested some info even on my first email I sent the amazon invoice. After another 4 days of wait, I got an email saying since this is an international order (they are based in California) I have to cover $26 USD of shipping and handling, which makes around $35 CAD, half the price of this product. This is ridiculous since I bought a similar fryer on London Drugs for $40 brand new and 1 year warranty.

I love this fryer although the size is quite smaller than I expected. It’s good good size for 1-2 people which is perfect for me! Saving oil and easy cooking. I cooked Tempra, fried chicken, French fry, doughnuts.
All of them were good. It makes me feel like cooking more varieties!

Literally my favorite purchase and tiny kitchen investment I’ve ever made it makes frying so easy and takes up very little countertop space. I always sucked at frying and this made it so easy.

It’s pretty cute and thankfully doesn’t take up too much counter space. It comes with a nice basket that isn’t in my picture, but is very useful when making fries. Just don’t use the basket when making something with batter because it solidifies around the basket and is a bit hard to get off. It can only get up to 375 degrees which is the main reason I gave this 4 stars, since many things need to be fried at a higher temperature.

This deep fryer works great and isn’t a large deep fryer which I really like for myself. It still makes more than enough French fries for me. It’s a good size basket and could still make for 2 people I guess.

Lots of problems with the exposed heating elements. The heating elements for this fryer are exposed in the bottom of the pan and so cleaning after using it was more difficult than it needs to be because the elements can’t be removed for cleaning – so cleaning around/underneath them is difficult. The exposed elements also make it so you need more oil in the fryer before you can effectively start frying. Also, if you get very aggressive with cleaning, it seems like it would be easy to break off the elements.
Any time I moved it I could feel the metal housing flexing and popping. I could see it sliding loose in some spots. I was not being rough with it at all. It’s just flimsy.
Viewing window and “odor filter” are pointless. Viewing window just clouds up with condensation and oil anyway. Plenty of other places for odor to escape from the lid, but nice thought I guess.
Frying basket does not sit level on the bottom of the fryer, even with a fair amount of food in it.
There was some discoloration on the control panel from heat damage after only a single use.
Overall, this fryer probably didn’t even deserve 3 stars, but it got the job done. However, the point of having a fryer in my opinion is to save yourself time from cleaning the mess if you were to just put oil in a pan. This device does not offer that convenience of saving time/easier cleaning because of the difficulty in cleaning. Additionally, I wouldn’t expect this fryer to last more than a couple more uses because of how flimsy it is. I’m going to see if I can return it. Would not recommend.

My husband and my mom really like it, first time made something crunch and juicy!!! the small size is just right size and oil saving comparing to other ones. Wish to have one or to holding position so could make the frying easier 🙂

This is the best deep fryer I’ve ever had. It heats up so fast. It’s not huge but has so much room. I absolutely love the little basket. I lay the lid on the basket then I insert the basket into the oil so the lid’s already in place. That way I don’t get splashed by the hot oil. I can’t see through the little window on the lid to see my food fry but it’s handy to hold onto to remove the lid from the fryer without getting burnt. I love the different temperature settings. My food fries pretty quickly so it’s not soaking in oil for a long time. My only complaint is the cord comes unplugged from the fryer pretty easily. The only things I wish were different are it came with an extra basket and the color was all black.
