I started buying RC trucks for my 4 year old son a few months back. He enjoyed them and I found myself having fun too. It was a great father and son thing to do together. Unfortunately the trucks I bought kept breaking after a few days or a couple weeks use. In their defense for some of them anyways… we did beat on them pretty good. My son and I may be partly to blame on a few of them but the others broke down in very short period of time just by regular use. Whenever, a car or truck would break? I made sure to go on amazon and buy another one to replace it. I didn’t want our father & son time to be ruined. At first I bought the same ones over and over again because they were fun. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought the damage could have been our fault. Due to a few mishaps while teaching my boy how to use the remote control. I soon learned we weren’t the problem because the same issues happened with the replacement cars. The other companies would be nice enough to send me spare parts at no cost when I explained what happed. But even with the upgraded parts installed eventually the same issues would happen. The gears in the rear or front differential would wear out and I was right back where I started. I spent hours reading reviews trying to figure out which one would be best for $200 or less. I’ve probably bought about 25 RC Trucks and cars over the past few months. They were all fun and impressive at first but then a few days down the road after playing with them every day. Something would go wrong. I’ve learned differentials are a big problem in the RC car/truck industry. At first I had no clue how to fix my sons RC cars when they broke. Hence the reason I kept buying new ones. unfortunately i don’t have an endless money pile so I was forced to watch youtube videos learning how to fix common things that go wrong. I figured I’ll just buy parts and fix them myself to save money. I was pretty proud of my RC mechanical skills after a while. But no matter how hard I tried or how many times I replaced parts. It would always end the same way. The RC Truck would kick ass for a day or two and then I’d hear that grinding noise in the differential again. Even when I ordered the heavy duty replacement upgrades. The motors are so powerful in these little cars the differential couldn’t handle it. I decided I’m going to give this one more try and move up my budget amount up a few bucks to see if I can find a cool RC Car or Truck that will last. I read all the reviews on this RIAARIO RC TRUCK and put it in my amazon cart for checkout. But I still hesitated thinking I’d just be disappointed again. Finally after a couple days went by seeing it still in my Amazon cart…I hit the checkout button and held my breath. I first purchased the carbon fiber one for myself of course thinking I’d better try it out myself to determine the quality before letting a 4 year old smash it into things. But after my son saw me test it out around the yard…His eyes were opened wide with excitement. I couldn’t say NO and keep playing with it in front of him. So I handed him the remote and he played with it just as hard as all the others. After a week went by of constant playing every day after I picked him from daycare..The truck was still running fine with no problems. So, I decided to buy the black and yellow terminator without carbon fiber. So both of us could play together with the same badass machines. We’ve been at it for 3 weeks now without missing a single day of beating the sh** out of these trucks and I’m happy to say they’re still tearing up the dirt, grass, rocks, jumps hills, piles of leaves, mud and puddles of water. I even made a wooden ramp which is a super thrill for my Son. OK I love jumping the trucks too…LOL These trucks have landed in every wrong way possible that would have split apart all the other trucks I previously bought. We’ve even run into each other by mistake.. Full speed head on collisions into each others trucks, into big trees, side of my house, mail box post. You name it, we’ve run into it. Each time I shuttered thinking well that one must have broken it for sure this time. but to my surprise both of these RC 1:10 Terminator Trucks are still going. It’s like the old cliche….Takes a lickn and keeps on tickn. If you’re on the fence about getting this truck? I guarantee I’ve spent more time reading reviews and researching than you even thought of. Even after all that research I still wasted a lot of money buying what I thought was going to be great only to be excited at first and then a day or two later I was disappointed each time. Take it from me….don’t waste your money on those other slightly less expensive trucks like I did. Because you’ll find out the parts you’ll need to buy and time you’ll need to spend fixing them costs you a lot more money in the long run. Plus the downtime waiting for new parts and figuring out how to replace them is no fun either. Spend a little bit more and get this truck. I haven’t had to buy a single part for it yet and the differential hasn’t shown any signs of weakness whatsoever. I hope this information helps whoever is reading it. This truck is rugged, powerful and worth every penny. Whether you’re a Amateur or a Professional. It’s so powerful & fast right out of the box.. it’ll make you giggle.

The throttle trim is set at 75% out of the box, and even then it’s wheelies on demand. At 100%, it’s incredible. The brakes are very good. Self righting is no problem, and SO nice. It’s a worthy successor to the Omni Terminator, err, maybe little brother is a better way to put it. Steering is very good, but I think I like the throttle/brake/reverse/ throttle response more than anything. So many companies get this wrong. On the track, braking, then reversing, and then accelerating is a frustrating affair-It won’t reverse, wait, did it stop completely? No? Why won’t it reverse? Oh, there it goes, wait, no, now it won’t go forward?- NO MORE! I know, picky, but it’s my biggest RC peeve. This works perfectly! Recommended!

*Update @6 hours of track time*
I run this truck on a tight dirt track 69′ X 16′, on a slight hillside, so there are elevation changes of roughly 9′. The track lines are made of rocks, roughly the size of the truck itself, and chain link fence with 4″x4″ fence posts on the inside of the track. This makes for quite a focused lap, lol. I’ve hit rocks and fence posts at varying speeds, and the Rog has had zero issues.

Without any adjustments and running box-stock, I’m very impressed. The tires hook up well on hard pack, loose loamy, and moist but not quite muddy dirt.
It handles really well, and is too fast for the space I have. I really appreciate the throttle percentage dial, to help get familiar with better throttle control. The steering is very good, and allows for very intuitive control, and is sharp enough to make quick small u-turns easy.
One of my favorite features has to be the self-righting. The truck is stable, but with the elevation changes if I go off track, it can tumble easily and land on its back. It takes a little bit to get familiar with it, but being able to flip it over back onto its wheels without having to do the walk of shame constantly, is a massive luxury!
