this works better than the gaming laptop i used to have, both in performance and cooling! i love this ugly thing!

Fast, great graphics, powerful and a joy to use. Was going to use for gaming but moved over all my music production software. I can access loops and song files from an external hard drive with no loss of performance, a very pleasant surprise. Flight Sim looks great and my car sim Beam NRG runs fantastic. Project Cars runs fantastic.

Runs games smoothly on HD and doesn’t even get hot…

I was impressed with the performance of the ASUS NUC ROG, it’s a powerful and well-built mini PC. However, I’ve had two units fail within a month (ROG 970 and ROG 760), both after being plugged into a docking station. I use the same dock with other laptops without any issues, so this appears to be a design flaw specific to the ASUS NUC. While it performs well when functional, this kind of reliability issue is unacceptable. I hope ASUS reads this review and invests in fixing this problem in future models.

The ROG NUC 970 delivers unmatched performance with its DEDICATED Nvidia RTX 4070 graphics card. It’s significantly more powerful than an integrated card vs. dedicated, plus the benefit of being within that very compact size, It’s a beast!

Very good quality! Compact for small spaces!

This thing blows my mind. WAY smaller profile than my old gaming PC and way outperforms the 3050 that was in it. Runs smooth, quiet, and surprisingly cool even when running RDR2 at high (not ultra) settings. This thing really runs everything I throw at it.

This is a perfect edition to the modern living room entertainment system.
This unit is smaller than most of todays gaming consoles and the computer supports play of modern PC games at their highest or at least “better than average” video settings.
Also works great as an Entertainment center PC to stream video and audio at the highest definitions available.
The computer worked perfectly out of the box and runs cool and silent with fan noise only when really pushing the video settings playing the latest PC games.
Addition of a Bluetooth keyboard, mouse and Xbox controllers are key for living room use. I also added a compatible 4 terabyte M.2 expansion drive which also worked perfectly.
