I really like these buds. They sound as good as my Sony xm5 cans, and they are earbuds. I did have a problem with the 1st pair I received, the battery in the right earbud was bad. The new set is perfect and no more issues (Amazon returns are 2nd only to Cost co). I also tried the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 for $100 less, but the sound was so bad in every way compared to the AZ100’s they are going back. For me, one of the best features of the AZ100’s is the ML (Medium-Large) earbud tip. Medium is too small with noticeably flat sound and weak base and Large is a little too big and uncomfortable. ML is a perfect fit and the sound is amazing and buds are comfortable for extended wear (4 hours so far). IMO any reviewer dissing the sound either had the wrong size earbud tip, or didn’t use the equalizer (I use a custom EQ that is very close to the ‘Dynamic’ setting). The AZ100’s are the best sounding and most comfortable earbuds I’ve ever used.

-The noise cancelling in this is superior to my Sony XM5’s by 30-40%, its because of the seal with the largest eartips which they provide in the box.
PS: Use the largest eartips provided and see the magic of best sound quality and noise cancellation!
-The sound quality is excellent and definitely clearer than XM5.
-I can differentiate between more things and notice things I never heard with the sony earbuds(even with modified EQ on Sony’s and default EQ on Technics AZ100).
-The magnetic fluid driver surely works wonderful, and you have to try them side by side in order to know. -After using “Bass+” or “Super bass +” EQ on Technics, they produce even better bass than the Sony, with accurate sound throughout all the frequencies. (I use more bass on my Sony, but it muffles other frequencies). -The volume of sony is 10% more since sony blasts everything near the ears like a closed soundstage and Technics are more wider in soundstage and that’s the reason for this and I cannot be wrong about this).
-In the song Amigos by J Balvin, Sony xm5 cannot create the sound of drums(around 1:00 minute mark) without distortion (they do their best to reach bass(low frequency), but it gets distorted), Technics AZ100 produce the best bass response I’ve heard from an earbuds so far, showcasing the drums accurately, just as good as you’d hear in real life. I found this difference in many songs with good bass after comparing them both for over an hr.
Mic quality: Excellent for an earphone, probably the best I’ve heard, its like having a noise cancelling mic on your phone itself!!
Cons:
The case doesnt have a stronger magnet to keep itself closed like my airpods pro 2 or Sony XM5, please look into this for your next iteration. But no complaints from my side, since I take care of my tech!

I am VERY picky about sound, feel, fit, and quality. These headphones truly exceeded my expectations. The ANC is by far the most effective I’ve used compared to several of the top shelf competitors. Bose came pretty close with the comfort and ANC, but still obviously outperformed by the AZ-100. The functionality of the controls are flawless and intentional paired with my iPhone and MacBook Pro (at the same time). I do not get ear fatigue due to the many different included tips and the shell type design of the buds. Although the buds fit securely and are sweat resistant, the weight and size might be noticeable when running or working out heavily. The AZ-100’s sound a little flat and warm straight out of the box (preference) but with a little EQ in the Technics app, the sound quality is absolutely superb. The bass can be adjusted to be insane without distortion and the trebles are so defined and crisp. It doesn’t even seem possible that they are single driver. If you have the money, appreciate the quality, and demand the best out of your listening experience…look no further than Technics AZ-100.

Beatifull style and finish. Nice fitting in my ear. Excellent sound from all types of music like classic, rock, easy listening, pop, and latin. ANC is very good. The app has many features to fine tune the buds. They are confortable to wear for long time . Excellent quality product.

Day 1 impressions:
ANC: Quite good, with a TV on the the same room I can *just* hear the dialogue when ANC is active, but all music, environment, SFX from what’s playing are gone. Shockingly quiet. When active my tinnitus goes away, love that.
Fit: For me, amazing right out of the box. Seal is strong and tight on both sides. Easy to achieve on each insertion. They are stable, the weight doesn’t bother me at all.
Sound: Really, shockingly good. The default tuning is somewhat bass heavy. The typical warm and playful consumer oriented tuning. The EQ has some presets and 2 slots to save custom curves. With mild tuning these can go from bright and forward to dark and vieled. I love the range the EQ provides. They get fairly loud, another little bit more would be great, but they’re pretty loud at max.
Mic: Not yet tested.
Case: Very small. I like it. Minor, very minor, gripe is that the magnet holding it shut could be stronger. USB-C on the back instead of bottom is great, I hate the bottom port cases.
Initial setup and app: Really easy and intuitive, at least so far. I am a programmer so I make a terrible use tester, but seems pretty easy to me.
