Excellent CPU, taken especially for 4K gaming, where, combined with a mb Gigabyte z790 aorus x elite, 32 gb ddr5 7200mt, rtx 4080 super, guarantees excellent performance.
Sure for gaming a ryzen 7800x 3d was better, but given the strong drop in price of Intel CPUs, it was a good purchase, without counting that for certain office applications or rendering, Intel is much better than Amd.
Taken at €370, I would say excellent value for money.

Don’t be me. Get an AMD CPU. Mine works fine. In fact I’m actually pretty blown away by how fast and powerful it is….But I still recommend it to almost nobody at least in current year…. it’s overpriced there’s no upgrade path from here and it runs unreasonably hot so you’re also going to be spending more on a good cooler. Etc. There’s also the issue of these things overheating and breaking which they say was fixed…and I’ve run into no issues…but I don’t necessarily trust Intel.

Wonderful processor, my copy passed tests at 1.28v and original frequency of 5.5. Temperature did not go beyond 78 degrees Celsius, 2-section liquid cooling. About 200 watts of consumption. No freezes in games paired with DDR5-6400. For $ 330 this is the best choice, 7800X3D now looks stupid for $ 460

I put a ThermalRight Phantom Spirit 120SE on top of my i5. Only one of the two fans fit on the cooler in my case, but even with just the fan between the two radiator fins, temps are below 80 degrees at full load, and average around 40 idle after a couple hours online, and 70 in games like Cyberpunk.
I’m using a 4080 Super and usually game at 1080p but dont’ think 2k will make much difference in temps.
Good combo if you don’t like AIOs!

This is a well-rounded CPU for those looking for a balance between strong single & multi-threaded performance at a relatively affordable price point. If you’re looking for an install-it-and-forget type of CPU, this isn’t it. You should update your motherboard BIOS with the latest CPU microcode to protect the processor from potentially being exposed to high voltage-related degradation. Intel extended the product warranty for these affected boxed processors to five years.

With some voltage & load line tunings, this CPU ends up being a fairly energy-efficient processor at the 125W long-duration Turbo limit. Users who want more performance could set higher PL1 limits (up to 253W for Intel performance specs).

Upgraded from 12600k so I could utilize the same motherboard and RAM but mainly to benefit a newer GPU. Normal PC usage feels the same, but the temps are much higher. I’m comfortable using this generation now after Intel pushed all their microcode fixes. Haven’t ran across issues or instability and overall happy with it.

Was going to plump for a Core i7-13700 but went for this i5-14600K instead as pretty much matches it on performance. Yes, you get two more performance cores in the 13700 but base clock frequencies of the 14600K are far higher and it cost a good £70 less. I wanted decent enough gaming on the “cheap” and when paired with a 4060 RTX it easily runs everything I throw at it at 1440p on all the max settings.

Don’t be naïve like me though and expect this to come with a CPU cooler – it doesn’t! Turns out none of the 14th gen Cores do at the moment, likely as they are all K variants which allow overclocking. Purchased a Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black which is very silent and keeps the CPU around 38C when idling.

This is a great processor. There’s nothing wrong with it. It’s the best processor Intel has ever produced. I was afraid to buy it because of the negative reviews I’d read about it. But in my personal experience, it’s a great processor. It’s incredibly powerful, incredibly stable, runs at lightning speed without giving you any problems. And it runs quietly when the time is right. I recommend it to everyone

Runs amazing. Games on ultra settings run smooth. Temps good. Upgraded from a 12600k, quite the difference.
