I bought this because I wanted the flexibility of using my own vlogging kit and cheaper than the GoPro media kit. I use the Rode wireless go 2 for my audio which superior to the GoPro audio. It allows for adding other things such as lights etc. It is a great little protector for your expensive gopro. Check out the YouTube postings on this product

Says it fits the GoPro 8 buy does not.
Luckily I also have GoPro 7’s and just used that camera.
Nice and covenant for use of a mic where the Go Pro adapter is needed.
Holds the Rode ME mic with the shoe mount but the mic does slip in the mount so watch it so you do not drop a mic.
Overall love the Camera holder and cleans up wires and adapter just hanging.

This thing is absolutely awesome. Does not add much weight and seems very sturdy. Nice tight package. I use it with an Edutige etm-001 external mic with a lavalier dead cat. Works perfectly.

The whole reason I purchased this case was because it solved a lot of the issues I had with setting up a rig to use my GoPro for vlogging. Why?
1. This is the perfect setup. The GoPro easy easy to add/remove from the case.
2. It has a place to store that stupid external mic adapter that you have to purchase from GoPro in order to use an
external mic.
3. The cold mount on the top of the case raises the external mic high enough that it is out of your shot even with the
wind shield on it.
The equipment I use with it is:
1. GoPro Hero 7 Black
2. GoPro external mic adapter
3. Movo VXR10 microphone

This is the second Ulanzi case that I purchased. The first was for my Gopro Hero 7 Black. I was extremely happy with the first on and didn’t hesitate to get another on for my Hero 13 Black. EDIT: The description in the listing is incorrect. The Gopro 13 Black will NOT fit in this case. Very disappointing. This doesn’t effect the quality and my satisfaction with my other Ulanzi case

I opted for the plastic as opposed to the metal one. Reason: save a little weight while hiking, as I know the ulanzi kingman power grip and metal trip legs will add to the weight.
Seems well built, makes for a nice vlogging setup for my hikes and outdoor YouTube channel.
